How We Rate
This page explains how the information on this site is gathered and checked. It covers our sources, the points we look at for players in Great Britain, and the limits of what we do.
Where the information comes from
We work from primary sources, not from hearsay. Each fact on a page should trace back to one of the documents below.
- The operator's own website, including game lobby and sportsbook pages
- Bonus terms and conditions for each offer
- The general terms and conditions
- Payment and withdrawal pages
- The licence register of the regulator named by the operator
Player comments and review platforms are treated differently. They can show what people experience, but they are not proof of how a rule is written. We keep them on a separate page, Spinboss reviews, so opinion is not mixed with verified terms.
What we check and why it matters
Each point below affects the money, time or safety of a player in GB. The examples in brackets show the kind of detail we record, not a verdict.
We look for the named licence holder and whether the licence can be found on the regulator's register. For GB players, it matters whether the operator is licensed for the UK market. Our findings on this are collected on the licence and safety page.
A headline figure says little on its own. We note the deposit split, minimum deposit, wagering requirement (for example, 40x), and any caps. A bonus spread over four deposits is not the same as one lump sum, and we say so.
We record deposit methods, minimum deposits and withdrawals, per-transaction maximums and stated processing times. Stated times are what the operator says, not a guarantee. See the withdrawal guide for how this is applied.
We note the number of games, the named providers, and whether live tables come from a single studio. We also check support channels and hours. Responsible gambling tools matter most: deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and links to support organisations.
When sources disagree
Operators sometimes give different figures in a banner, a promotion page and the full terms. In that case the full written terms take priority over marketing text.
If two official documents conflict and we cannot settle it, we say so on the page and avoid presenting one figure as certain. We would rather show a gap than guess. Players should confirm the current terms with the operator before depositing.
How often pages are checked
Casino terms change without notice. We re-check pages against the operator's current documents and update them when we find a difference. Bonus, payment and licence details are the first to be reviewed, since they change most often.
We cannot promise that every figure is current at the moment you read it. If something looks out of date, treat the operator's own terms as the final word.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment to change facts, remove criticism or alter how a casino is described
- We do not invent test results, statistics or personal experiences
- We do not claim to speak for the operator
- We do not offer financial or legal advice
This is an independent information site. Gambling carries risk, is for adults aged 18 and over, and should be treated as paid entertainment, not income. If it stops being enjoyable, use the limit tools on your account and contact a support service such as GamCare.
